Avalanche Face Elimination Mountain To Climb In Round Two

Avalanche Face Elimination, Mountain to Climb in Round Two

Must Win Game 4 at Home Tuesday

Avalanche in Danger of 2nd Round Exit

The Colorado Avalanche face a must-win situation in Game 4 of their second-round playoff series against the St. Louis Blues. After falling 3-1 in Game 3 on Sunday, the Avalanche now trail the series 3-0.

The Avalanche have a steep hill to climb if they hope to avoid elimination. No NHL team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series. However, the Avalanche are confident that they can turn things around.

"We're not going to give up," said Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog. "We know it's going to be tough, but we believe in ourselves. We're going to come out and play our best game in Game 4."

The Avalanche will need to play a near-perfect game in Game 4 if they want to keep their season alive. They will need to be better in all aspects of the game, including puck possession, shot generation, and special teams.

The Avalanche will also need to find a way to score more goals. They have scored just four goals in the first three games of the series. The Blues, on the other hand, have scored 10 goals.

The Avalanche will have the home-ice advantage in Game 4. They will need to use that to their advantage and get the crowd behind them.

Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday night at Ball Arena in Denver. The puck is scheduled to drop at 8 p.m. MT.
