Saudi benchmark index rises 124 percent to close at 12175 on first day of Enterprise Finance Forum

Saudi Arabia's Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 124 percent on Sunday, the first day of the Enterprise Finance Forum, to close at 12175. The index was boosted by gains in the banking and petrochemical sectors.

The Enterprise Finance Forum is a two-day event that brings together leading business leaders and investors from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The event is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is focused on discussing the latest trends in the region's financial markets.

In his opening remarks, Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan said that the Saudi economy is expected to grow by 2.9 percent in 2023, up from 2.6 percent in 2022. He also said that the government is committed to continuing to implement economic reforms to diversify the economy and create jobs.
